Gulf Oomph Loyalty scheme hits £50,000 landmark

Tyne and Wear HSG at Ridgeway Service Station

“In a year where grass roots organisations and local charities have been struggling for funding, we are delighted to have distributed more than £50,000 thanks to the collective efforts of Gulf forecourts across the UK, their staff and customers. The versatility of Oomph enables forecourts to engage more meaningfully with their customers and forge even closer links within their communities.” Gerry Welsh, Retail Marketing Manager, Certas Energy.

Gulf Retail’s award-winning Oomph loyalty platform, supports participating forecourts in their efforts to raise funds for local charities and worthwhile causes. One of most recent recipients to receive a £1,000 donation was Tyne and Wear HSG, a junior football club who play in the Northumberland League. They were nominated by Ridgeway Service Station, located in King George Road, South Shields.

Tyne and Wear HSG Coach, Paul Kirton was delighted when his local Gulf forecourt, told him the good news.

“Wow, I still can’t believe we’ve been so lucky, the petrol station I go into everyday put my football team forward a few months ago and I had forgotten about it. When I went to the garage and they told me our team would receive £1000, I thought it was a wind up. This will go so far to help a grassroots football team and I am so grateful to the staff at Ridgeway Service Station for putting us forward and Gulf for running this very worthwhile programme.”
